This is made-for-TV material dressed up by Eddie Murphy's participation into a theatrical release.. It remains an appealing fantasy about super-teens saving sick animals.. There are some laughs here and there, but this is badly edited hack work.. Sweet and cheesy.. It's kind of sad to see Rufus the Pelican getting way more screen time and plot significance than characters played by Kris Kristofferson and Ashley Judd.. Meet Dave alone may not radically change the course of Eddie Murphy's drooping...
